Teaching Philosophy
My overarching teaching goal is to encourage learning inside and outside the classroom. I want students to feel safe in class to explore endless ideas. Students should feel welcome and want to participate. I want to foster a growth mindset in students and help them realize career, personal or educational goals.
I want to inspire collaboration. I want students to be comfortable and accurately share their ideas and perspectives.

I want to recognize that every student has a background that I do not know. I will try my best every day to remember that students cannot give 100% every day. Each person has things in their life that they don’t owe to anyone to explain. I will assume that each student and myself are doing their best at any given time.
